Healthcare and Medical Forensic Exams for Patients Experiencing Sexual Assault: Access and Payment When the Survivor is an Immigrant


This webinar answers frequently asked questions about payment and reimbursement for Medical Forensic Examinations and related services and how the healthcare needs of sexual assault survivors can be met and paid for when the patient is an immigrant survivor of sexual assault.

Faculty will discuss the legal requirements for payment and reimbursement of medical forensic exams as well as how immigrant sexual assault survivors can secure payment or reimbursement for the costs associated with meeting their post-assault healthcare and mental healthcare needs beyond what is covered in the medical forensic exam.

Forensic nurses, victim advocates, attorneys, and health and mental healthcare providers who offer acute and post-assault care and assistance to immigrant survivors of sexual assault will find this webinar beneficial.
